Autumn Steele

As far as she can remember, Autumn Steele, all-around-creative, has always been greatly influenced by music, film, and pop culture; along with, its related industries. In the course of her undergraduate years, Steele interned for renaissance man, Bobbito Garcia; thereafter, gaining credit as a production-assistant in the Rotten Tomatoes favorably voted film, Stretch and Bobbito: Radio that Changed Lives. Subsequently, Steele worked as an associate-producer for the annual panel series, Complex Con(versations) 2017. Later that year, the SUNY Purchase College graduate would be attributed for sound and camera operation in the autobiographical doc, Rock Rubber 45s, available via Amazon Prime.
As a music enthusiast, Steele studied arts-management focusing on music business and entertainment law. In the last five years, she has acquired work experience with companies such as ASCAP, 300 Entertainment, Complex. Presently, the music services consultant represents composers and instrumentalists. Namely, Giveton Gelin, emerging composer, trumpeter, and the 2020 LetterOne Rising Star Jazz Award recipient; plus, regular sideman w/ Jon Batiste, Ben Wolfe, Bobby Watson, and many more. In 2020, Steele executive-produced (post-production, album sequencing) and independently released, True Design, Gelin's debut LP --- receiving warm reviews and critical mention. Besides the foregoing, her clients are associated with acts such as Jon Batiste, Wynton Marsalis, Eddie Palmieri, Bebe Rexha, Coco Jones, Jon Bellion, Stretch and Bobbito + The M19s, Orrin Evans' Captain Black Big Band, plus others.
In 2021, the multi-hyphenate also began providing music supervision/coordination. Later that summer, Steele contributed to Nanny, a suspense-thriller feature, debuted at Sundance --- winning the Grand Jury Prix; together w/ Apple TV's Magic Johnson docuseries, and Amazon's Master by Mariama Diallo. Additionally, her credits include Netflix's forthcoming Rustin, Hulu's 1619 Project, and HBO's Random Acts of Flyness S2, among other titles.
From time to time, Steele can be found spinning vinyl sets featuring jazz, soul, salsa, hip-hop, and MPB in the NYC area. Ultimately, this polymath desires to be more than a consumer, but a visionary and contributor to the culture.
