Ojefe embraces his Panamanian and Jamaican ethnicity with dignity and pride, and he defines his ambition and motivation throughout his music and his behavior. Growing up in the suburbs of Montgomery County, Maryland, He has made a name for himself very quickly, but before the rise, he landed himself in trouble, which delayed his career.
He served 4 1/2 years in prison for his past mistakes, but his setback was minor compared to his major comeback. He started writing his first rhymes back in 2010. At first, it was only a hobby for him until he noticed he had pure raw talent with his catchy metaphors and aggressive delivery. After his incarceration, Ojefe started to pursue his music career, and from the looks of it, he's not showing any signs of slowing down.
He mentioned that the feedback he was receiving from his family and friends was the fuel that kept him going. His first music video in June 2018 is where it all started, and his first live performance back in 2018 was the foundation for his career and set the tone for him.
