Anna Török is a director from Hungary, living in Rome. She studied Motion Picture and Photography at the Secondary School of Visual Arts in Budapest. She graduated from Media faculty of the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in 2020. In 2022 she started her master's course in Film Arts at the Rome University of Fine Arts in Italy.
Between 2021 and 2022 her first film "Day-In Day-Out" was selected to show at film festivals from around the world. The film was premiered in Italy. At the Roma Short Film Festival she got her first award: a 'Honorable Mention' in the main category. The American New York Tri-State Film Festival granted the prize for Best Narrative Short Film. "Day-In Day-Out" was screened alongside the works of directors such as Pedro Almodóvar, Matteo Garrone and Thomas Vinterberg.
In 2023 she directed her second film named "Bricks" (Mattoni).
Her films mainly deal with the effects caused by physical and mental abuse, including the influence of trauma on an individual's identity and perception.
