- Roberta L. Bondar was born on December 4, 1945 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. She is an actress, known for Mansbridge One on One (1999), Dossier Ovnis (2022) and Life and Times (1996).
- In May 2003 she was installed as Chancellor of Trent University (Peterborough, Ontario, Canada).
- On January 22, 1992 she became the first Canadian woman astronaut aboard space shuttle Discovery on mission STS-42. She was also the first neurologist in space.
