Adrianna María, birth name Adriana Acedo Campillo, is an Actress, Musician, Model and Filmmaker based in Phoenix, Arizona. She is a proud Mexican and Sonora-Arizona native, having lived, explored, and worked internationally throughout her life in different fields and projects. Some of her most recent projects include working with Crown Chimp Productions and Signature Films.
Adriana is the oldest of three siblings in a very tightly knit family, and was born in Yuma, Arizona on March 12, 1999. Her parents are both Mexican, her mother an independent artisan and designer, and her father a businessman and entrepreneur. During her childhood, she lived in San Luis Rio Colorado, Sonora. Her family and her then moved to Hermosillo, Sonora and in her time there, Adriana self-taught and practiced performance by observing her surroundings, and participated in plays, musicals, short films, music videos, and fundraisers. These resulted in multiple recognitions, including the Sonoran Institute of Youth's Cultural Award in 2017. At age 18, Adriana moved from Mexico to Tucson, Arizona to pursue education and her career, graduating with two Bachelor of Arts degrees from the College of Fine Arts in University of Arizona (Class of 2021).
Since 2017, Adriana branched out independently and performed in musical, theatrical, and filmographic projects, with creative powerhouses such as Crown Chimp Productions, Signature Films, DVL Film House, Cachora Films, Arizona Repertory Theatre, Blackbox Theatre festival, I Dream in Widescreen festival, Lot87 Films, among others in Arizona, Sonora and California. Among those works are Film Festival selections and nominations such as for BFI Flare London LGBTQ+ Film Festival (2021), Dedza Films "Who Will Start Another Fire" Criterion Collection (2021), and Los Angeles Lift-Off Film Festival (2022). Aside from Acting work, Adriana has been part of the crew for HBO Max/Bad Robot and Signature Films productions in the PA and Pre-Production departments.
Adriana's goal as a performer is to gain and express a deeper understanding of her environment and community's needs and feelings through her work. She is very dedicated, wholehearted, and passionate about learning from other professionals or others close to her, and to being a storytelling medium for the Latinx community and women around the world. Adriana's musical range is Mezzo-Soprano and her acting training includes a versatile range of physical and vocal training.
