- Dawn Lorraine Fraser (born 4 September 1937) is an Australian freestyle champion swimmer and former politician. She is one of only three swimmers to have won the same Olympic event three times - in her case the women's 100-metre freestyle. Fraser was born in the Sydney suburb of Balmain, New South Wales in 1937 into a poor working-class family, the youngest of eight children. Her father, Kenneth Fraser, was from Embo, Scotland. She was spotted at the early age of 14 by Sydney coach Harry Gallagher swimming at the local sea baths. Within Australia, she is often known for her controversial behaviour and larrikin character as much as for her athletic ability.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Dibyayan Chakravorty

- I used to do some terrible things in the marshalling area to upset my rivals.
- Make yourself an example, achieve it, but don't hurt anyone on the way up. I don't think I did that.
- The Olympics remain the most compelling search for excellence that exists in sport, and maybe in life itself.
- It's a beautiful thing, diving into the cool crisp water and then just sort of being able to pull your body through the water and the water opening up for you.
- We only have two things that we share in this life; we are born and we die. And what we do in between those times, we've got to be happy. I don't let the outside world deter me.
