Stephen Stokols
As Executive Vice President of Boost Mobile, Stephen is responsible for sales, marketing, go-to-market strategy and operations of the Boost business. Stephen is an accomplished executive, entrepreneur and investor who has driven revenue and user growth across both Fortune 500 and start-up environments.
Stephen most recently served as co-founder and CEO of mobile carrier FreedomPop. In this capacity, he raised over $120 million in financing and built FreedomPop into one of the fastest growing mobile carriers before selling it in 2019. Stephen earned numerous industry awards for his innovation and disruptive impact on the wireless market and was named the Wireless Industry's most innovative executive in 2017 and E&Y's Entrepreneur of the Year in 2018.
Prior to FreedomPop, Stephen founded Woo Media, where he built one of the Internet's largest and most innovative interactive video communications companies. Stephen turned Woo Media into a multi-million-dollar revenue stream, selling it in November 2011.
Stephen started his career at Accenture and was elevated into his first executive leadership role in 2004, when he was promoted to VP of eBusiness at Qwest Communications. He went on to build a track record of bringing innovation, disruption and growth at the Fortune 500 level. He spent three years as British Telecom's SVP of Strategy and Product Development, where he led all consumer product innovation. During his tenure, he generated $1 billion in new revenue, growing his P&L over 500% during that time and putting BT at the forefront of online communications, digital media and Wi-Fi.
Stephen holds two graduate degrees, an MBA from UC Berkeley and a Masters in Finance from London Business School.
