Griselda Denise Ramírez

Griselda Denise Ramírez was born and raised in the agricultural city of Salinas, California to Mexican parents Griselda Pacheco and José Luis Ramírez. Griselda Denise graduated from Alisal High School in Salinas and attended Santa Clara University where she earned a double major in Business Marketing and Spanish Studies in 2008. She graduated from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism with a Master's degree in Broadcast Journalism in 2013. Upon completing the graduate school program in New York City, Griselda was hired by ESPN in Bristol, Connecticut where she started her career in sports TV production. At ESPN, Griselda worked on several features in both English and Spanish that aired domestically and internationally, earning a Sports Emmy Award in 2016 in the Spanish language studio show category and several individual awards, including a 2019 Imagen Award for her work in the ESPN short-form non-fiction piece, "SC Featured - A Dreamer's Path." In March 2020, Griselda became a freelance field producer with Film 45 where she worked alongside a production team in Los Angeles, California and Guadalajara, Mexico on a four-part docuseries about a Mexican professional soccer team, joining the project's post-production team to deliver the final episodes.
