Carter L. Paterson is a production coordinator, writer, and actor based in New York City. He has worked on projects for Comedy Central, NBC, Hulu, and TBS, and is a member of IATSE Local 161.
Carter joined the entertainment industry as a production intern for "The Daily Show with Trevor Noah," before taking on a second internship at "Full Frontal with Samantha Bee" as a field department intern; his first on-camera appearances were as an uncredited extra for recorded segments on both shows. He later served as a production assistant on NBCUniversal's "Lincoln Rhyme: The Hunt for the Bone Collector" and Hulu's "Wu-Tang: An American Saga," before staffing up at "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit" for two seasons as a Production Secretary. He now serves as a production coordinator and member of IATSE Local 161.
Carter's original screenplay, "Pack Rats," was a semi-finalist for the 2021 Screencraft TV Pilot Script Competition. He is also Editor-in-Chief of the satirical blog, "The Near New York Times."
Carter graduated with honors from Washington University in St. Louis in 2019, with a bachelor's degree in Political Science and Creative Writing (Poetry). He served as president of WUnderground, "WashU's premiere [only] satirical journal," and as president of the College of Arts and Sciences Student Council.
