Christian Sandstrom was born in Vaasa, a small city on Finland's west coast. Christian wrote his first play at very early age and started
acting as soon he could walk. In the early 90s he studied theatre and drama in Los Angeles. In 1993 he began studying at the
actors-program at the respected Academy of Arts in Helsinki in his home country Finland, where from he got his Masters degree in acting in 2008. His theatre debut was at the age of 17 as a walker-on in a theatre play directed by
Åke Lindman. His breakthrough in television came in a day drama created by
Peter Emanuel Falck and
Christian Wikander. Christian's acting career now also contains many movie roles, including
Sibelius (2003),
Battle for Finland (2007),
Beyond the Front Line (2004). Christian has also worked with Alexandre Miguel -
Die Frau vom Checkpoint Charlie (2007) and was also seen as FBI agent in
Farewell (2009) in scene with
Diane Kruger. Christians latest film work was with director
Dome Karukoski known for directing
Tolkien (2019) movie.
