Joseph Brugh
- Actor
After writing the junior high school operetta, acting in high school, more acting in college, then two summers on tour with a children's theater group - one summer tour as a member of Actors Equity I decided to take a break.... Meaning: I wanted to do something else.
So I did! Pursuing a career in radio. First on air, then sales then advertising and other corporate marketing gamesmanship that, when I look back at my resume - I should have just stayed as the struggling actor. But there was something about advertising and marketing, radio and television that was ... like a glamorous picture painted on a brick wall and every time you tried to reach for it - required a crash helmet. I hit a few homers off the wall... and nothing came back to bite me.
Now, living in the third house and having had only God knows how many cars that have come and gone: married with two children three grand children, two cats and a dog: I am a husband, father, brother, son, uncle, cousin, friend and church goer, A Struggling Actor: right where I left it.
And there it is again, another glamorous, colorful picture, painted on a brick wall! Something is different - like the edge of cliff and there you are: and you say with or without a crash helmet... let's find out more about who painted the picture on that wall and how hard those struggling actor bricks really are after all.
