Owen Megura is an independent filmmaker, screenwriter, editor, and photographer born in San Diego, California. His passion for video development began at a young age, but quickly grew once he went to college at the University of Nevada-Reno. His first short documentary, titled, "The First Canines," introduced him to videography, and has since transformed into telling stories from a narrative perspective. Since then, he has developed a total of nine short films, including two documentaries, and graduated college in May of 2023.
He graduated with a B.A. in Journalism and a minor in Cinema and Media Studies, and is in the process of writing his first feature film, "Red Colored Sand." One of his most personal projects, "The Progression of Time," was selected in the San Diego Independent Filmmaker's Festival, and placed finalist for the Reno Tahoe Screenplay Festival back in 2022.
