Iman Ahmed(III)
- Writer
Iman is an Egyptian-American writer who enjoys telling provocative stories that flip narratives because stereotypical content is not only boring, it's dangerous.
Her play BANNED about a mercenary political strategist who wants her Republican fiancé - a rising Muslim-American Congressman - to endorse the Muslim travel ban in order to get re-elected, premiered Off-Broadway at Theatre Row in 2021.
Iman participated in the Writers Guild Initiative Workshop, where she was mentored by Scott Frank and selected to have her one-act plays read at the annual star- studded gala. Her personal story about being a young caregiver was featured on The Moth podcast in 2021 to over a million listeners.
