- Yung Bong is a rapper based in Iowa Waterloo, Iowa, who is prominent in the local rap scene, notable for having collaborated with many peers around that area, both up and coming and on his level. In 2018, Bong released his debut album "Beasty" on streaming services, as well as a burnt CD sold through the streets. In the process of filming a music video for the project, he met Mike Barkhoff, who bought a CD of the tape and set up future work with Bong - in partial, to direct a future video himself, and the distribution of the tape onto media platforms. Bong's following soon ramped up even more, and he began to release consistent singles, many of which were recorded, produced, and edited by himself.
