Christian Weckl
- Animation Department
My name is Christian Weckl, I was born in 1992 in Curitiba, Brazil, a place where despite it being a capital there are very few animation companies, this was the first challenge in my career.
Finding a job as an animator in Curitiba was not easy, but after college and a few drawing courses I finally got my first job as an animator, it was a small company doing simple cut-out animations, but it was my first step toward my dream, that is, working for movies that could inspire people as much as inspires myself.
There was a time when I didn't think I could work on movies like this, I thought that I was limited by my drawing skills, but the movies that I watched inspired me and the people around me encouraged me to follow my dreams. After a while, I understood that I create my own limitations and also have the power to break through them.
Since my college graduation in 2013, I had the opportunity to work on several projects, with different styles of animation and different approaches, the projects and people's diversity helped me to achieve the know-how and quality of work that I have today. Throughout all these years I worked on TV series, Advertisements, and some Award-winning short movies, and recently I had the opportunity to work on my first feature film "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mayhem", where I could improve a lot my animation skills, the Director of the movie was the same Director from "The Mitchels vs The Machines" so he pushed us through the limit, especially in my acting skills.
I'm really proud to be part of all these amazing stories, definitely, it's a dream that is coming through, a dream that follows me since my childhood and I'm very excited to go to the next steps of my career.
