In 2016, Asanka embarked on his professional journey as an editor at Magic Lantern (PVT) Ltd, marking the beginning of his trans-formative career. Subsequently, he ventured into the world of color grading, further expanding the horizons of his expertise. Despite his relatively young age, Asanka has made significant contributions to the film industry in a remarkably short time, leaving an enduring impact on the field. His work has earned recognition both locally and internationally.
In addition to his illustrious career in film, Asanka holds a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and Counselling from KITT University in India. He has also pursued further education in Post-production, earning a Diploma in DI Colour Grading at Davinci Media College in Bangalore and becoming a Certified User for Colour Grading with DaVinci Resolve 18 / Blackmagic Design, showcasing his commitment to personal and professional growth across multiple disciplines.
