Genevieve Maguire

Genevieve Maguire was born in Southeast Queensland. She studied in Hobart, Townsville, and the Sunshine Coast for her formative years and has always shown a keen interest in acting during her education. After her unsuccessful application to NIDA in 1999, Genevieve moved back to Hobart and was cast in The Old Nick's Uni Revue "Bored of the Rings" 2000. She spent the next 20 years on the fringes of the industry with various extra/featured extra/model work in both Hobart and Melbourne. Genevieve became a mother in 2014, which sparked confidence in her abilities that had previously elluded her. Armed with the life experience she was advised to get by NIDA, and the knowledge that she could survive anything with thanks to parenthood, she graduated from TAFTA in 2022 and is now a working actor in Melbourne, Australia. Genevieve has since earned credits for two short films, "Baz and His Friends" and "Where Did the Music Come From", and two web series, "Flunk" and "My Personal Lycan King". Genevieve spends her spare time with her family and friends and in various yoga poses loving life.
