- Originally wanted Philip Michael Thomas to play the role of his lieutenant in "Mister Dissolute". Instead, the character was portrayed by Charlotte, NC actor Patrick G. Keenan, who'd just been featured in "The Blind Side".
- Hosted the Charlotte, NC premiere screening of "Heaven Help Me, I'm In Love" at the Visulite Theatre in 2005, alongside his wife and co-star, Ryli Morgan.
- Has never been a fan of sports, although his mother and stepfather insisted he play baseball and football in neighborhood leagues as a child.
