- Women are not marginalized in the United States of America. What are they fighting for? Why all the anger? I don't know what women are fighting for. I just don't get it. This whole feminist movement thing, it just smells of domineering, desperate estrogen, if I'm being really honest.
Frankly, it is unnatural to try and dominate a man and emasculate him. I think one of the most beautiful things we can do as women is to let a man be a man, and to challenge him to rise to his highest form of masculinity. That is what a man's heart longs for: adventure. - Yes, I voted for Donald Trump. My vote was a big "middle finger" to the extreme left. It was me taking back America.
- But the fact is...I've never menstruated. I developed anorexia right on the cusp of puberty in high school. So when I talk about women being the crown of creation, and that motherhood is the essence of womankind, it is coming from a heart that has mourned that gift. A heart that breaks that I will not be able to offer that gift to my husband.
- I'm going to be really honest - I've reached the age where, being a virgin is no longer "cute."
- You find out real quick what is truly important in life: Your Family. Your Loved Ones. And God. Everything else can wait. Acting careers. New Year's Eve parties. your own needs, really. None of it matters when you're faced with life or death.
- We were created to love and be loved. God is love. And has placed in us the incredible desire to be seen fully, and loved fully. We were made to be cherished, as a refection of His beauty, and expression of His craftsmanship. And as brothers and sisters in Christ, we are to respect one another and protect and defend the dignity we all possess as children of God. That is what love is: wanting the best for someone else.
- Listen to your gut. Here's the thing: some people call it intuition, some people call it your conscience, some people call it a gut feeling, but I'm here to tell you...it's the Holy Spirit's nudging. Cheesy, sure. Accurate? Absolutely. You'll know you're doing the right thing because you feel at peace. That's the Spirit moving in your heart. Listen. And if you're feeling restless, that's a big ole' Red Flag, and probably something should change.
- Say "yes" more often. I've learned that if you really want to start living, you need to say, yes - Incorporate it into your vocabulary. Embrace the lifestyle that it produces, and don't look back.
- There is no better accessory than confidence. If you feel good about yourself, then other people will too. Period.
- I finally saw my microscopic life in the grand scheme of things.
Because one window, shining in a building is wonderful. It can be a ray of hope. It can warn ships of the shoreline, or airplanes of the height of a skyscraper.
But together - with thousands of other illuminated windows, we can literally light up the entire night sky. We can make Lower Manhattan glow.
Never forget that. Our lives, and His love that we share - it matters. It really does. - That's what Jesus is calling us to be: a light. We're supposed to use our lives, and our time on this earth to be a beacon of hope for others, sharing His love with the world.
- As His sons and daughters, we are the earthly extension of our loving and gracious Father in Heaven. And everything we do - the things we say, the ways in which we treat others and how we act - they're a direct reflection of Whose we are.
- I watched [Annie] a million times. I'd sit on the mantel and stare out the window and pretend I was looking at New York.
- When I look in the mirror now, I see my interior beauty. I see the beauty that has come from brokenness. My past will never go away, but now, instead seeing my reflection through the filter of pain, regret and guilt, I see the reflection of a girl who has freedom. Who, yes, has an incredibly painful past, but who has overcome it. Been set free from it. I see a self that has been transformed.
- Our lives can be bright, shining lights.
- It turns out, that we really only get one chance in life. One go around the sun. And the older I get, the more I'm realizing that there are actually, very few things that truly matter...and probably the biggest of these is family.
- Our greatest tool to reach people about Christ, or strengthen our communities is through the power of friendship. God is love, and what better way to show that love to another person than by being their friend.
- Every generosity, every kindness, every time you keep your word or act with integrity is an emotional bank account deposit. Deposits build trust. And trust is the key to long-lasting, healthy relationships.
- It's always good to remember how blessed you are. To remember how bleak things could be. We are all infinitely more blessed than we could even comprehend.
