One wouldn’t normally expect a dude making a documentary about his lifelong pornography addiction to interview his parents about his obsession, but that’s just the kind of personal detail that filmmaker Matthew Pollack injects into Run Run It’s Him.
This cinematic memoir is filled with lots of embarrassing detail while also leaving out more general information, making for a somewhat mixed viewing experience.
One issue is that it’s difficult to exactly determine what Pollack’s goal is in making the film. Is the filmmaker trying to exorcise his perverted demons? Wanting to come to a satisfied personal resignation? Or is he asking the world, not himself, to decide if his obsession is an unhealthy habit or not such a bad thing to be concerned with after all?

The 2011 PollyGrind Film Festival recently wrapped up in Las Vegas, and the madman behind the scenes, Chad Clinton Freeman, checked in with Dread Central to share with us exclusively the winners of this year's fest.
Reveling in everything from arthouse to grindhouse to everything in between, PollyGrind has quickly made a name for itself as one of the up-and-coming premiere genre fests out there due to the success of each year of programming. This year's big winners (and flicks that will no doubt go on to find audiences soon) include the highly controversial The Bunny Game, The Super, Dear God No!, The Gruesome Death of Tommy Pistol and Ratline.

The 2nd annual PollyGrind assaults Las Vegas during an epic length film festival that runs Oct. 8-17 at Theatre 7 with enough sleaze and violence to make Sin City residents feel right at home.
Actually, the fest does open up on the 7th with a concert at Neon Venus with local acts like Monster Zero, Creepersin and many more.
However, the film portion of the fest opens on the 8th with Stuart Simpson‘s acclaimed Australian gorefest El Monstro Del Mar!, one of the best Russ Meyer/Roger Corman mash-ups with a Down Under twist. Read the Bad Lit: The Journal of Underground Film review of this gem here.
Other Bad Lit favorites in the lineup are Drew Bolduc and Dan Nelson‘s The Taint, which is still completely grossing out audiences on the festival circuit, and The Uh-Oh Show, the splatter-filled horror comedy by the Godfather of Gore himself Herschell Gordon Lewis.

We recently told you about the upcoming PollyGrind Film Festival, one of the premiere grindhouse film festivals, that's set to celebrate all-things B-Movie style in Las Vegas this October. The madman behind the festival, Chad Clinton Freeman, announced today this year's PollyGrind line-up and it looks pretty sweet!

“We love the filmmakers because without them we’d all just be here drinking.” So noted CineKink Film Festival founder Lisa Vandever after calling for a round of applause at this year’s midtown kickoff at the Taj Lounge, which saw burlesque performances — by Leta Le Noir, Sweet Lorraine and “N — “The Only Letter in Burlesque” followed by a small shorts program. With films containing a slick music video/Calvin Klein commercial aesthetic (Roy Raz’s The Lady Is Dead from Israel), to scenes of anatomical pottery (Debi Oulu’s My Erotic Video Art, another flick from Israel — what’s up with the Israelis?) to visuals as predictable as its title (Love Hotel from its better-named, Spanish director Erika Lust) the diversity on display served as a teaser, naturally, to the eclectic main event. At the Oscars, host Anne Hathaway said it was the cinematic year of lesbians. At the Spirit Awards, host Joel McHale said it was the year of cunnilingus. But this year at CineKink, the range of filmic sexual expression is, as always, more varied. Now in its 11th edition, Cinekink kicks off tonight at the Taj Lounge with a program of performance and short films before moving to the Anthology Film Archives tomorrow for four days of screenings. A closing night party will be held on Sunday, March 6.

Have a couple hot nights on the town when the Cinekink Film Festival shakes its groove thing on March 1-6 in NYC. With the exception of the opening and closing night galas, the fest will turn the venerable Anthology Film Archives into a red light district with sexy feature films, documentaries, shorts and more.
The feature films screening tell wicked tales of telepathic peeping toms (Sexual Radar), swingers (Open Invitation) and naive hedonists (Caged).
