Vladimir Kryukov(1902-1960)

Graduated in 1925 from the Moscow Conservatory.
In 1930-1931 and 1950-1951 editor of the USSR All-Union Radio. 1933-1935 he was in charge of the musical part of the Theater of Revolution. In 1949-1950 - director of the Moscow Philharmonic. In the years 1957-1959 - Head of the Composition Department of the Gnesins Institute.
Brother of composer Nikolai Nikolaevich Kryukov (1906-1961).
His most famous works are the operas "Stantsionnyy smotritel" (Station Watchman) and "Dmitry Donskoy".
