Craig Thorpe is a writer, director, editor and producer from Leeds, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom. He is the founder of Green Witch Films, an independent film company based in Leeds, where he also reads and edits scripts for new writers. He is known for The Dentist's Tale (2023) and Sobriety (2023).
After starting our filming micro-short films for Raindance's short film competitions, Craig started production on his debut short film, Sobriety (2023). With initial filming of this production severely delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020, filming eventually wrapped in May 2021. With the delay of the production of Sobriety, Craig began work on his second short, The Dentist's Tale (2023), in between coronavirus lock-downs. The shoot had Craig work as a one-man crew with filming commencing in August 2020 and wrapping in March 2022, meaning The Dentist's Tale's production started after Sobriety and finished earlier.
Craig also runs a YouTube channel where he analyses and breaks down a film's script so new writers can see how the story is pieced together during the writing process.
