- At the age of six, she took violin and piano lessons. After school, she studied at the Frankfurt University of Music, where she concentrated on the harp until the age of 18.
- Laurie Records released Ellis' second single in the United States. This was followed by performances in the Netherlands, Belgium and Austria. Nevertheless, the singer could not land success in the charts. After she, the mother of a three-year-old daughter, turned down a three-month broadcast tour of the United States, she was abruptly dropped at Polydor. One last single remained unreleased in the archive.
- In a Haydn quartet consisting of fellow students, the still minor undertook a three-month tour abroad during the Second World War, including to Besançon, Paris, Biarritz and San Sebastián.Later, Evelyn Mayer-Fredericks received vocal training as an alto player as part of a scholarship for gifted students.
- After the death of her father, she came to Frankfurt am Main with her mother at the age of two.
- In order to be able to devote herself to her family from then on, Ellis then withdrew completely into private life. Her daughter Stefanie, born in 1962, became a concert pianist and music teacher.
