Rodney works as a Motion Picture Stagehand and Studio Grip (Rigger and Dolly Grip) and
is a proud member of I.A.T.S.E (Local 80).
He attended Arizona State University, majoring in Broadcast Communications. His film career began in 1992 under Producer, Stu Segall, as an Extras Wrangler on Silk Stalkings and Renegade.
In 1994, he found work as a commercial actor and stand-In performer. Itier earned his SAG card after being cast by Hollywood Director, Melodie McDaniel on a national spot for Honda, introducing the CRV. Soon after, he was accepted into the Screenwriting program at the American Film Institute Conservatory, spelling the end of his acting career.
Itier returned to production in 1996. First, as an assistant in the writing department for FOX's The X Files under Vince Gilligan and Frank Spotnitz. Then, in 1999, Itier was tapped to join Franchise Pictures as the Executive Assistant to CEO, Elie Samaha, Ten months later he was promoted to Development Executive where he worked closely with writers, directors and executives on Get Carter (2000),Green Dragon (2001),Driven (2001),The Caveman's Valentine (2001), and Heist (2001). His input was integral throughout the development process of the critically acclaimed feature drama, The Pledge (2001), directed by Sean Penn (I)'.
Rodney is a consummate professional with a successful track record combining a solid work ethic, a strong sense of development and a writer's intuition.
