Matthew Seely is versatile performer based in Toronto, known for his work as an actor, comedian, and writer. A graduate of The Second City's renowned Conservatory Program, Matthew honed his skills under the guidance of esteemed director Ron Pederson (MADtv). His creative versatility shines through in 'Plasticon,' a project he wrote, directed, and starred in, which was an official selection at the Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival.
Matthew has graced stages at numerous improv comedy festivals, including Bad Dog Theatre's Blockbuster Week, the Ottawa Improv Festival and the Steel Stacks Improv Festival. He has built his comedic expertise by studying with faculty from the Upright Citizens Brigade and he had the privilege to train with Kevin McDonald of The Kids in the Hall.
On television, Matthew has showcased his acting skills on CTV Sci-fi's 'Paranormal Revenge. On stage, he is a regular on Toronto comedy shows as a host and performer.
As a writer, Matthew's creative contributions span from web series and short films to sketches, and his work has been featured in McSweeney's Internet Tendency.
