Lisa Kori fell in love with acting by way of music. She played Chopin's Second Piano Concerto in a documentary reenactment of Maria Tallchief. She was cast as a bluegrass singer on Roswell, NM and a saloon musician in The Harder They Fall.
She enjoys being creative across various media. Lisa Kori's first experimental film, Three Minute Eggs, was a finalist for the Lichter Art Award and an Official Selection of the New Mexico Filmmakers Showcase. As an artist, she is known for projects such as Open Fit and Anti-NIS Accessories. Her research on experimental music and art is published as a chapter in the third edition of Handmade Electronic Music by Nicolas Collins (Routledge, 2020). She also has a solo music project inspired by the music of people of Chinese and Japanese descent in the American West.
