Richard Tokar
Rich was born in upstate NY outside Buffalo. In his early twenties, he
met Neil Maloney working small comedy clubs in a suburb of New York
City. Together the two secured a small role in the Chris Elliott movie
Cabin Boy. Though their speaking role was later edited out of the final
print, their performance caught the eye of co-star Andy Richter, who
later offered them an audition to write for Late Night, which was
successful. Soon the two were performing on screen in various roles,
usually together. Their on-screen chemistry was unmistakable. After a
year with the struggling Late Night, both Rich and Neil decided it was
time to move on. Rich is now out of the business, though he has not
ruled out a return in some capacity. He and Neil still collaborate from
time to time and hope to write a screenplay or a comedic novel.
