- Helen Ward was born on September 19, 1916 in New York City, New York, USA. She died on April 21, 1998 in Arlington, Virginia, USA.
- Big band vocalist of the 1930's and 40's, best known for her singing with the Benny Goodman Orchestra (1934-1936). Featured on the radio program "Let's Dance". Pursued a successful recording career well into the late 1950's, performing with bands led by Harry James, Red Norvo, Gene Krupa, Hal McIntyre and others. Left retirement in 1979 to sing at New York's Waldorf Astoria, and to release a compilation album, "The Helen Ward Song Book".
