Rahimah Yoba began her film and television career in New York, in the mid nineties on the hit Fox television series New York Undercover. The
show was produced by Dick Wolf, the Emmy award winning Executive Producer of the LAW & ORDER franchise. In the decades that followed Ms. Yoba successfully moved up the ranks from Wardrobe Production Assistant to Set Costumer and from Key Costumer to Costume Designer.
Whether she is recreating vintage looks or designing contemporary and trendy costumes her attention to detail and bringing to life the creative vision is what inspires her most. Ms. Yoba's innate ability to collaborate creatively, communicate effectively, manage sizable budgets, handle departmental logistics and meet deadlines have all contributed greatly to her current success as a Costume Designer. She has worked with Emmy award winning Director and Executive Producer Anthony Hemingway, she has also worked on projects with directors Ernest Dickerson, Kate Woods, Jeff Byrd and Billy Woodruff just to name a few and with film studios and networks such as Paramount Pictures, NBC Universal, Nickelodeon, Warner Bros., ABC-Disney, Fox Studios, CBS Studios, USA Network and Sony Pictures.
Recently, Ms. Yoba costume designed the true crime drama UNSOLVED: The Murders of Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G. on USA Network.
