Bates Motel's Dylan Massett has seen better days.
Not only is Dylan (Max Thieriot) working for a family drug operation that is on the verge of war with a rival family, but he also recently learned that he's the product of incest between his mother Norma (Vera Farmiga) and her (alleged rapist) brother Caleb (guest star Kenny Johnson). Fortunately, a little light may be coming into his life.
Bates Motel: What's next for Dylan after the daddy bombshell?
On Monday's episode (10/9c, A&E), Dylan meets Jodi Wilson (Beverly Hills, 90210 and Boss alum Kathleen Robertson), the head of the drug family and his de facto boss....

Though "Bates Motel's" premiere episode might not have been the show's most romantic, love is coming to White Pine Bay. Everyone from Norma and Norman to Dylan and Emma will have new romantic interests in Season 2, some for the good and some for the bad.
First up is Norma. She'll meet George Heldens (Michael Vartan) in episode 3, and sparks will end up flying between the two.
"Norma very much is trying to find happiness this season, and she's trying to make the life for herself that she's always wanted," series co-creator Carlton Cuse teases to Zap2it at the "Bates Motel" Season 2 premiere red carpet. "It doesn't work out all that well."
George is described as being "sensitive" and "kind," and Vartan promises that he is an all-around good guy.
"I think that one of the reasons the writers and producers wanted to bring in a character like this...

In "Bates Motel" Season 2, the town of White Pine Bay will become a much bigger character on the show. Though viewers realized some of the sinister nature of its inhabitants and the drug trade in the show's first season, those elements will come to the forefront this year.
Because of that, the drama at home with Norma and Norman Bates will be balanced with the growing presence of White Pine Bay's crime world. Many of Season 2's new characters come from the drug families, and their involvement in the main "Bates Motel" storylines will greatly affect all of the main characters on the show.
"The whole drug world will open up this season. The whole underbelly will be exposed," Nestor Carbonell, who plays Sheriff Romero, tells Zap2it at the show's red-carpet premiere. "We'll really get to see how it works, how it's sustained, and how I navigate those waters.
