Wide Receiver for the Washington Redskins (1964-1977).
Wide receiver who retired as the NFL's all-time leading pass catcher with 649. He was named to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1984.
In high school, he made all-state teams in football and track, and attended Arizona State on an athletic scholarship, graduating in 1964.
Survived by his wife Patricia, three children, Elizabeth, Erica, and Charles, Jr. and several grandchildren.
