Was awarded two Bronze Stars and five Purple Hearts for action in World
War II.
After his retirement from the Federal Aviation Agency, he co-founded,
along with his late wife, Madolyn, the Silver Spring Stage and the
Maryland Academy of Dramatic Arts
Although born in San Antonio, he was reared in New Orleans and
Richmond, Va.
Engineer for Federal Aviation Administration before he took up
acting.
Children: daughters Bonnie and Suzanne
He is survived by two daughters: Bonnie Tabakin of North Potomac, Md.
and Suzanne Taxin, of Sedona, Az.; two sisters; and a granddaughter.
