- Likes/owns classic cars, motorcycles.
- Played drums for Lita Ford, Black Sabbath and "Badlands" in the 1980s. Played drums in an Olivia Newton-John video in the 1980s.
- Other bands/artists he has played for include Gary Moore, Alice Cooper, Brian May,Bruce Kulick, Gilby Clarke, Teddy Andreadis and E.S.P..
- Just before officially joining KISS in 1991, Eric was on tour playing live shows with Alice Cooper, and commuted back home to Los Angeles on the weekends, to record a new album with KISS (Eric Carr was too ill to participate.)
- Joined KISS following the death of Eric Carr, and stayed with them from 1991-1995. Rejoined group in 2000 following the departure of original drummer Peter Criss, and stayed until Peter Criss's second return to the band in 2002. Rejoined KISS yet again, after Peter Criss left the band once more, this time putting on full makeup and costume for the shows.
- KISS was awarded a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for Recording at 7080 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, California.
- Is once again jointly playing drums with Alice Cooper and KISS (April 2005)
- Collects watches.
- Is a Los Angeles Lakers fan.
