Hails from one of the celebrated "Hollywood" family dynasties. His grandfather, B.P. Schulberg produced the first film to win "Best Picture" Oscar("Wings" - 1927)and served as head of production for Paramount from 1927-1935. His grandmother, Adeline Schulberg, was Hollywood's first female talent agent. His father, Stuart Schulberg, was the long-running Executive Producer of the Today Show. His uncle, Budd Schulberg, is the Oscar-winning screenwriter of "On the Waterfront" and novelist known for "What Makes Sammy Run"; "The Disenchanted" and "The Harder They Fall". K.C.'s sister, Sandra Schulberg is an independent producer noted for having founded the IFP (Independent Feature Project).
