Der Prozess, den die fristlos entlassene Ex-Intendantin Patricia Schlesinger gegen den Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (rbb) anstrebt, ist auf Antrag des rbb auf den 15. Januar 2025 verschoben worden. Ursprünglich sollte er am 20. November seinen Auftakt haben. Das bestätigte das Landgericht Berlin auf Anfrage vom rbb24-Rechercheteam. Der rbb selbst äußert sich zum laufenden Verfahren nicht.
Die 62-jährige Schlesinger verlangt vom rbb Ruhegeld auf Grundlage ihres beendeten Vertrages. Danach sollte sie auch nach Beendigung ihres Arbeitsverhältnisses und noch vor Rentenbeginn Geld vom rbb bis zu 78 Prozent ihres Basisgehaltes erhalten. Das Berliner Landesarbeitsgericht hatte in einem anderen Verfahren den Anspruch auf ein solches Ruhegeld verneint, wenn schwerwiegende Pflichtverletzungen der Klägerin vorlagen.

German public broadcaster Rbb has been rocked by a scandal surrounding its former director, Patricia Schlesinger, who is accused of embezzlement and misuse of her position as head of the Berlin-based media group, which is financed by German taxpayers.
Schlesinger resigned from her post on Sunday. On Monday, Berlin’s public prosecutor confirmed it had opened an investigation into accusations Schlesinger embezzled Rbb funds to support her lifestyle, including getting the network to pay for lavish dinners at her home and financing her private use of a luxury company car. Wolf-Dieter Wolf, chairman of the board at Rbb, who has been linked with some of the accusations leveled at Schlesinger, also tendered his resignation on Sunday. Both deny the charges against them.
