The co-production will be produced by Sonia Borella for See Pictures and Jo Monk for Apogee Pictures. Both will attend Content London next week to meet with potential partners.

Emma Fletcher on ‘The Heights’ set.
Viewers won’t know it when the second season of The Heights premieres on the ABC next year, but the 30-episode drama is being enhanced in both production design and cinematography.
The production is using a third studio in addition to the ABC’s two Perth studios which now houses the set of a pub (previously filmed on location in Northbridge) and a new community centre for the Arcadia Heights High School.
All that has enabled the writers to “grow our story world,” according to Matchbox Pictures’ Warren Clarke, who co-created the show with Que Minh Luu.
“By grouping these sets together we are able to shoot far more efficiently which then allows the show to get a bit bigger,” says Clarke, who produces the serial with For Pete’s Sake Productions’ Peta Astbury-Bulsara.
“We’re still heavily studio-based but splitting our studio time...

From the director of such nondescript horror films as The Reef and Black Water comes another nondescript horror film called The Jungle. Eager conservationist Larry Black (Rupert Reid) has a love for leopards that makes his wife cringe with jealousy. So, when he hears about the sighting of an elusive and endangered Javan Leopard, Larry and his cameraman friend hop on a flight to Java to find and tag the feline.
Once there, Larry teams up with guides Adi (Igusti Budianthika) and Budi (Agoes W Soedjarwo) to lead him through the thick jungle in search of the leopard. But Larry et al get more than they bargained for when the Javan Leopard they thought they were hunting turns out to be the legendary “forest demon.” And Larry’s adventurous urges lead them all into danger as they try to prove its existence.

Okay, so in the four loved-themed films from Australia’s iteration of Tropfest featured below, there’s self-amputation, a killer boyfriend, two somewhat creepy kids, and an Amour-style old couple. But deep down, all of the films are about love — and as we all know, sometimes it hurts, literally. In honor of Valentine’s Day (a holiday with somewhat bloody beginnings — St. Valentine himself was supposedly a martyr after all), we have four short film entries that you can watch below: Marry Me, The Mistake, Boo, and The News.
