- Kate Quillan-Graham was born in Hollywood. Her father was a writer and her mother under contract to 20th Century Fox. Her relatives were actors and writers who began work in the film industry starting in 1926. As an avid athlete, she trained with a renowned Olympic coach in tower diving and was a competitor in national and international competitions. Based on her success in tower diving, she appeared on magazine covers and in television commercial campaigns including RC Cola, Contact, etc. She then began working for 20th Century Fox doing script analysis. Following that, Kate co-produced, with Bob Graham, a conceptual art group which generated national and international attention. Coverage on the group included feature articles with photos in Time Magazine, Newsweek, National Observer, A.P. and U.P.I. As a member of the DGA she production supervised "The Director and His Team", "Apache Mountain Spirit", "Veiled Threat" and "Norman and the Killer". Kate then became CEO of a multi million-dollar commercial production company, "Barking Weasel", and it's sister editorial company, "Model Citizen" supervising all production and post-production. Shortly thereafter she came to the attention of CBS/King World and was lured away to handle $120 million in annual TV production.
