- Douglas Quijano was born on July 24, 1944 in the Philippines. He was a producer and writer, known for Batang Z (1996), Zoom, Zoom, Superman! (1973) and Gagamboy (2004). He died on June 13, 2009 in Countryville Subdivision, Barangay Ayute, Lucban, Quezon Province, Luzon, Philippines.
- In 1999, he received the Dr. Jose Perez Memorial Award from FAMAS.
- A founding member of Philippine Artists Managers, Inc. (PAMI), he served as the first chairman.
- He handled almost all major stars in the Philippines like Claudine Barretto, Aga Muhlach, celebrity couple Richard Gomez and Lucy Torres-Gomez, John Estrada, Joey Marquez, Anjo Yllana, 'Gelli de Belen', Wendell Ramos, Antonio Aquitania, Jay Aquitania, Benj Basa, and even Richard Gutierrez.
- He discovered Guwapings which was composed of Mark Anthony Fernandez, Jomari Yllana and Eric Fructuoso; and even Jao Mapa who was later added to the group.
- He played a major role in the re-opening of ABS-CBN, one of the Philippines' leading TV network, in the '80s after the Martial Law. He served as the producer/consultant for early ABS-CBN shows like Palibhasa lalake (1987).
