Because his character Tony Clark in Between the Lines (1992) always seemed to end up
getting his kit off, the programme was nicknamed "Between the
Sheets".
As of 2021 he owns and runs a rare book business in London.
In October 1984 he was appearing in the play "Loot" with Leonard Rossiter, at
the Lyric Theatre in London, when Leonard Rossiter died.
Declared his support for independent candidate Ken Livingstone during the 2000
London Mayoral election.
