John Paxton was born on May 21, 1911 in Kansas City, Missouri, USA. He was a writer and producer, known for Murder, My Sweet (1944), Crossfire (1947) and Kotch (1971). He died on January 5, 1985 in Santa Monica, California, USA.
Started as a journalist and publicist, prior to his arrival in Hollywood as a contract screenwriter of tough crime dramas and minor films noir for RKO (1944-1947) and Columbia (1954-1957).
By his own estimation, he worked on at least fifteen film scripts between "On The Beach" in 1959 and "Kotch" in 1971, but not one of them was filmed.
