Exclusive: Hip Hop Treasures EP Mira King has set up a UK production company focused on factual shows that “deliver novel perspectives and stories that are rarely told.”
King quietly opened London-headquartered Little Venice Studios a few months ago and has won start-up investment from Rosegown, a private investment team that champions diverse founders. The company has started taking projects to market and is in funded development on a talent-led ITV series for a Gen-z audience.
‘Hip Hop Treasures’
King is a UK production vet. She set up factual indie Special Edition Films two decades ago and worked on more than 100 hours worth of content over the following 15 years, eventually expanding the company to become Special Edition Films North & London. She left in 2018 and has since been freelance-producing factual content such as ITV’s Inside the Crown, TLC’s Meghan and Harry: The Royal Baby Story and A+E’s Hip Hop Treasures.
