When director/producer Peter Bratt was looking for an Alfre Woodard-type to
portray the character of "Evey" in Follow Me Home (1996), Neville suggested that
Bratt try to get Alfre Woodard for the part. When Bratt informed him that the
film's budget would not allow him to appropriately pay an actress like
Alfre Woodard, Neville forwarded the script to Woodard's agent. Impressed
with the script, she agreed to play the role of "Evey" without a
salary.
