It's extreme crisis mode on the set of Canada's beloved police drama, "Flashpoint." On location at the Toronto International Marina, a frazzled man named Harold ("CSI: NY"'s A.J. Buckley) is standing on a ferry, screaming frantically. Turns out this shotgun-wielding guy has separated from his wife, is schizophrenic and off his meds. Worst of all, Harold has abducted a baby girl he mistakenly believes is his. In other words, Harold is a walking time bomb waiting to explode.
Also on the scene are Constables Ed Lane (Hugh Dillon), Sam Braddock (David Paetkau) and Julianna "Jules" Callaghan (Amy Jo Johnson) from the Strategic Response Unit (Sru), who are doing their best to diffuse the situation. Obviously, things aren't going well. Harold's confusion is turning to anger and rage as he yells, "Liar! Liar! I would never hurt her!" Before somebody actually does get hurt, Jules slowly inches toward the oblivious...

Toronto -- Alchemy Television and TeleMunchen are set to jointly unveil a slew of international deals for the CBS series "Flashpoint," just as the rookie Canadian drama moves this week to Thursday nights from Fridays.
"Flashpoint" co-producer Bill Mustos on Tuesday said that Alchemy and TeleMunchen, co-distributors outside of North America for the Toronto-produced cop drama, have inked deals for most international territories and could announce them as early as this week.
"There's only a few territories left that are unsold," Mustos said.
CBS and CTV, the series' Canadian broadcaster, have shifted "Flashpoint" to Thursdays at 10 p.m., where it will enjoy a "CSI" lead-in.
The move follows the cop drama's second consecutive week winning Friday night on both CTV and CBS.
"Flashpoint" bowed two weeks ago on CTV with 1.1 million viewers -- impressive in a Canadian market where 1 million viewers represents a popular hit -- before the second episode slipped to 908,000 viewers last Friday.
Mustos, who co-produces the series with Anne Marie La Traverse, predicts that CBS will make no decision on whether to order a second season of "Flashpoint" before it has a chance to see how the Canadian drama performs in the coming weeks.
He added that the pending international sales for "Flashpoint" also will factor in whether the Canadian drama gets a sophomore run.

The dark-eyed man pointing a gun at a middle-aged blonde and shouting in some Eastern-bloc language is not to be reasoned with. In CBS' new action drama "Flashpoint," it's Sgt. Greg Parker's (Enrico Colantoni) job to convince him to drop his weapon and release his terrified hostage . even though he knows no Czech and a translator isn't readily available. Don't worry: Parker's got backup: his snipers, Ed Lane (Hugh Dillon) and Jules Callaghan (Amy Jo Johnson) get into position on nearby rooftops of downtown Toronto.
