London, Feb 11: A man recently tried to sell off his long-term girlfriend on eBay to the highest bidder as a joke, but got the surprise of his life when he received more than 56 bids from strangers.
Shaun Coles from Kettering, Northamptonshire, posted an ad of his "old woman" Debbie Moran on the auction website with an unflattering picture of her, the Daily Star reported.
Coles had also chosen the 'no returns' option and wanted the buyer to 'collect in person'.
When Moran removed the auction from the website, the highest offer was at 721 pounds.
Coles later told ITV that in all seriousness, he wouldn't sell Moran,.
