Dee was born in South Africa and her first professional employment was as an editor of the weekly cinema newsreels (Killarney Film Studios). She formed the Television company produced and directed over 50 programs for the broadcaster in South Africa. Dee has produced and directed films of all sizes and has lived and worked in many parts of the globe, from Africa, the UK, California, and now in Australia since 1999.
Dee directed and scripted the award-winning film The Jammed. It was acclaimed as "the best Australian film of 2007" by several major critics, including David Stratton. She directed 'The Second Jungle Book' (Tristar Columbia) and also television -- episodes on 'Wentworth' and a 'Doctor's Life' - receiving a Silver Dolphin 2012 Corporate Cannes Award (Medical). Her latest film is '2099: The Soldier Protocol', a Sci-Fi thriller with David Arquette
