There are sloppy geezerisms, flat-pack tough talk and an overexplaining narration that kneecaps the tension in Patrick McKnight’s dud crime thriller
‘How someone can inflict such sadistic brutality on another is beyond me.” So says Dublin ganglord Valentino “Val” Fagan (Rob McCarthy) when one of his underlings is raped – but it’s rich coming from someone seen executing his own men, dousing innocent security personnel in petrol and slapping his wife. But Patrick McKnight’s crime thriller isn’t overburdened in the self-awareness department – it’s too busy trying to romanticise the Irish capital as a tempestuous urban battlefield of cops and robbers. But with its flat-pack tough talk and wine bar decor, it winds up more like a Premier Inn-grade travesty of Heat.
Val is in a spot of bother: his Amsterdam partners, the Corrigan brothers, have lost a large transatlantic drug shipment, so they are rattling the...

Bud Light released teasers featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Don Cheadle and Reggie Watts, in preparation for their big Super Bowl ad.
Arnold Schwarzenegger A Ping-Pong Pro For Bud Light
The short, 10-second clips don’t reveal much about the larger commercial, but the teasers do feature Schwarzenegger in a blond wig, tight gym clothes, waving around a ping-pong paddle. “Whatever is coming,” reads the tagline at the end of the teaser, playing on the popular Game of Thrones tagline, “Winter is coming.”
Schwarzenegger will likely play a big part in the ad. He is being paid a reported $3 million.
A teaser featuring Cheadle has him standing in a hallway with a llama, making them ‘Donnie Llama.’
Finally, the last few teasers feature Watts, a comedian, acting as a DJ in what appears to be a Bachelorette party limo.

Product placement in movies often gets a bad rap; moviegoers view obvious plugs as shameless cash grabs that pull them right out of the story. However, when used appropriately, product placement can add to the reality of a film, and in many cases the studio doesn't actually see a dime from it. This appears to be the situation with Robert Zemeckis' Flight, a movie that uses real brands of beer and liquor on screen to depict Denzel Washington's struggle with alcoholism. Some of the companies behind these booze brands are now taking issue with their inclusion, saying that they were never asked for permission. Anheuser-Busch, makers of Budweiser, are even asking to have their logo removed from the film. Hey, who knew that being associated with alcoholism could be bad for business? Rob McCarthy, vice president of Budweiser, issued the following statement clarifying their stance on the matter:...

Denzel Washington's character in Flight drinks a lot throughout the film, but his portrayal of a highly functioning alcoholic pilot isn't being welcomed by brewing company Anheuser-Busch or the distributor of Stolichnaya vodka.
Anheuser-Busch said Monday that it has asked Paramount Pictures Corp. to obscure or remove the Budweiser logo from the film, which at one point shows Washington's character drinking the beer while behind the wheel.
Budweiser is hardly the only alcoholic beverage shown in Flight, which earned $25 million in its debut weekend. Washington's character frequently drinks vodka throughout the film, with several different brands represented. William Grant & Sons, which distributes Stolichnaya in the United States, also said it didn't license its brand for inclusion in the film and wouldn't have given permission if asked.
