- Sherry Ann Mathis began her career on the local stage in Memphis, Tennessee. She went to New York in 1971 and soon made her Broadway debut in Harold Prince's "A Little Night Music". She subsequently appeared as "Liza Sentell" on the soap opera Search for Tomorrow (1951) for seven years.
