Christopher Matarazzo

Christopher Matarazzo was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1968 and is the
son of orchestrator and composer Joe Matt and singer Vivian Carol. He
studied composition with his father. He earned his B.A. and M.A. in
English from Rutgers University where he met director, Kevin DiNovis.
Matarazzo and DiNovis had a shared interest in film and DiNovis asked
Matarazzo to write the score of his first film, "Surrender Dorothy."
Since "Surrender Dorothy," Matarazzo has worked as a musician (classical
guitar, percussion and keyboards) and as a music director in theatrical
productions. He also has an extensive and eclectic resume as an
engineer and producer. He has composed songs and orchestral music and
instrumental jazz/rock projects. Matarazzo lives in New Jersey.
