- Kevin began his film work in Los Angeles in the late 80's/early 90's, and then on the east coast- Orlando- in the early 90's as a Set Dresser. After doing a couple western stunt shows (his childhood dream), where he enjoyed setting himself on fire and getting shot and falling off of things, he moved to Miami and into Propping, fortunate enough to become the assistant to one of the more popular Prop masters in Florida. With this connection he was able to work on large budget features almost immediately. With some help he began to Art Direcrt commercials.
After spending 8 years on shows and films and cutting his teeth art directing commercials, he decided to move to Los Angeles and has lived there since 2002. He's worked on two features since moving back in '02, Propping 'Johnson Family Vacation', and Art Directing John Sayles recent 'Go For Sisters', but has preferred to Art Direct or Prop commercials. He's been fortunate enough to work on both coasts, on national spots such as the NFL, KFC, Chevy, CarFax, (himself designing the first Car Fox which in turn went to a CG version), Adidas, US bank, Napa, Mitsubishi, Khumo Tires, and many more. He's worked with Crossroads, Believe, Go Films, Radical Media, many others as an Art Director for the above spots.
He's also an avid photographer and enjoys road trips while not working. He lives in Los Feliz with his dog 'Zero'. He also owns and operates a cleared photography company called 'theArtDot.', which offers his photos for rentals to T.V., film, etc. He has been fortunate to have a few of his pieces in productions around town.- IMDb Mini Biography By: kevin long
