Welcome to this week’s Nxt review right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have Vince McMahon pretending that he is funding an independent promotion and a developmental school at the same time. Nxt…it exists. I enjoy the matches…usually. That being said, Nxt is most certainly a WWE product. It has the WWE house style getting mixed with a diluted version of the Ring Of Honor house style, but without any of the loose (very loose) psychology of either. I don’t despise Nxt, but I definitely don’t see it as so separate from Vince McMahon’s vision for pro wrestling as others do, so I don’t shower it with praise. There’s too many stories in Nxt. There’s too many titles in Nxt. There’s no true focal point, except for when someone like Finn Balor has the strap wrapped around his waist.

Match #1: Msk def. Legado del Fantasma The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Msk once again treated the Nxt Universe to smorgasbord of jaw-dropping maneuvers, but they ran into an equally explosive team for the first time in their scintillating tournament run. Wes Lee followed Nash Carter’s moonsault off the apron with a flying tope to the outside, and Raul Mendoza & Joaquin Wilde later answered with a springboard missile dropkick followed by a huge poison rana.

ROME -- Swiss television production company Polivideo said Monday that it has signed a three-year agreement with WGBH Boston for TV and satellite rights in Switzerland and Italy to WGBH's entire catalog of public TV documentaries. Sveva Filippani Ronconi, Polivideo's newly appointed vp sales and co-production, will handle TV rights sales. Polivideo has already sold the rights to three WGBH productions ("Commanding Heights", "The Man Who Knew" and "Who Was Lee Harvey Oswald") to RAI Educational, one of the Italian public broadcaster's satellite channels. Other Polivideo clients include Italy's Mediaset, Switzerland's TSI, Germany's ZDF and France Television. Although Polivideo is seeking to make similar agreements with production companies worldwide, Zingales said her company was "naturally inclined toward U.S. production. "Most of us here went to American schools," she added.
